Meet the Founder
Adrianna Cañez Abbott
As a Latina, I was raised with the belief that our appearance is an extension of who we are. My mom always taught me, “It’s better to overdress than to underdress.” To her, putting your best self forward was a way to take on each day with confidence and honor where you come from.
My first beauty memory is sitting on the bathroom floor, mesmerized by her routine: the eyeshadow, the mascara, the lipstick, and the “rouge,” as she liked to call it. It was bold and never natural. When she gave me a full, green smoky eye for my dance recital at age four, I didn't just feel like a girl in costume - I felt special and so glamorous.
That obsession led to a 13-year career in Beauty, launching products for some of the world’s most prestigious beauty brands. But as a mother of two daughters who share my love for all things sparkly, I realized something was missing: a play makeup that matched high-end quality but was safe enough for my own children and inclusive to all skin tones.
Lillipop is the result. It’s nontoxic, inclusive, and remarkably easy to clean (you’re welcome!). I believe that creativity, confidence, and play should be available to every child.
